D’Angelo Russell of all people should know by now, there is no hiding anything in today’s world. especially when you do something on a platform where over 370,000 people follow your every move. As if Lonzo himself doesn’t come with enough baggage. The Lakers now have to deal with a disgruntled D’Angelo Russell too.
Russell’s anger on a base level is understandable. He was just drafted two years ago and honestly despite all of the off the court and locker room troubles, on the court, D’Angelo has actually been fairly good. The rest of the Lakers have not. You could say well D’Angelo’s off the court troubles and shenanigans should hurt him, but Lonzo has the off-court baggage too. It crosses out. So basically D’Angelo has gotten 1 year with dead Kobe and one year with a horrendous roster and a rookie head coach. I’d be pissed too.
D’Angelo doing this on twitter is the issue. It’s such an immature predictable young 2017 athlete move too. Drake, though ironically the MOST guilty of this himself, was right. Trigger fingers have turned to Twitter fingers. We need a good Stephen A. Smith pep talk for D’Angelo, “Just stay off the TWITEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRR”
