Gronk Might Have an Epic Life, but to Make it Legendary, He Needs to Retire

He was created in a laboratory when a scientist accidentally spilled a creatine shake into a backpack of Natty daddies.  He is the man that teams game plan around and still can’t stop. He will score a touchdown, shotgun a whole 6 pack, and steal your girl before you even realized what happened. He is most certainly the most savage man in the sports world; Rob Gronkowski.

Rob Gronkowski has dominated the NFL for years, but will he continue? After suffering another concussion in the AFC championship game, Gronkowski has been toying with the idea of retirement and potentially starting a WWE career.  Although retirement before the 2018-2019 season seems unlikely as of now, Gronk would thrive outside of the NFL.

The potential that Gronkowski has to offer off the gridiron is limitless. Imagine if NBC gave Chris Collinsworth the boot and replaced him with Gronk? Or how about on CBS; Romo and Gronk announcing football games would be enough to curb the declining ratings the NFL has endured in the past year.

Imagine instead of hearing Collinsworth drone on with the words “now here’s a guy…” we would most likely be hearing Gronk cracking a cold one while Romo predicts every goddamn play (seriously, how the fuck does he do it?). Now that is some commentary we could all get behind.

But this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Gronk’s potential. Gronkowski has tweeted about the possibility of acting for WWE. Could you imagine Gronk coming out of the WWE tunnel, and then flying off the top rope headfirst? It would be called the Gronk Spike, and it would be fucking epic.

The only question that remains about Gronk’s WWE career is if he can top Stone Cold Steve Austins beer smash. But then again, it’s Gronk. Rumor has it that he has been perfecting the ultimate beer consumption technique since middle school, after all, the only thing flowing through his veins is Natty Light.

As much of a threat as Gronk is, his career has been riddled with injuries. He has only played all 16 regular season games in two out of his eight seasons. This has to be one of the main reasons why he has pondered retiring.  He’s a guarantee for the Hall of Fame, played with the best quarterback/coach combo of all time, and not to mention has two Super Bowl rings.

With those accomplishments, what else does he need to prove in the sport of football?  He would be a fan favorite as either a sportscaster or as a WWE superstar. It is time for the “6 foot 6 grader” to step off the gridiron and into the ring.  Give the people what they want.
