The San Antonio Spurs look scary, and so does Kawhi Leonard. The Spurs beat Memphis 96-82 to take a commanding 2-0 lead. The Grizzlies cut a 26 point deficit to 4 lead by Z-bo and Mike Conly but just too much Kawhi. Leonard scored 37 points on just 9-14 shooting and going 19-19 from the line! What a fucking animal! The KLAW is the truth! It was almost as if he said don’t forget about me for MVP. He also had 11 boards.
Believe it or not, the 19-19 isn’t a playoff record as Dirk went 24-24 in the 2010-11 playoffs. But shit that’s still impressive. Just a true product of Greg Popovich and workaholic. The only explanation for 19-19, oh yeah he’s 28-28 for the series. It’s unfortunate for Kawhi that he is so humble and non-expressional for his MVP candidacy. He just doesn’t bring any unnecessary attention to himself other than his play. Beard, on the other hand, is always cooking in the kitchen and the press obviously can’t get up Russ’s ass anymore with his triple double voyage.
Leonard will not win the MVP and it’s a shame cuz he really is right there if not ahead of the other two front runners. He doesn’t turn it over and plays the soundest fundamental ball of the three. He’s also the best defender in the NBA, either him or Draymond Green, so that should count for something. But he’s just the silent assassin and is more focused on winning another title than an MVP award. Some players say they don’t even know what his voice sounds like cuz he doesn’t speak. But for the Klaw, his games speaks for itself.
