My lord. I almost felt bad watching that. Like I just watched something really bad happen to someone and I know I shouldn’t have enjoyed it, but I know deep down I really really did enjoy it. How did they even get Jalen Rose to agree to this? He probably got a nice chucnk of change. Or they said a few weeks back, do this commercial or you’re going to be part of the purge.
Although Jalen is a pretty easy going guy in retirement. He’s a long way from the streets of Detroit and the Fab Five. He also is never afraid to mention that he was the guy to give up the majority of Kobe’s infamous 81 points. Which, is the single greatest scoring performance in NBA history.  Wilt’s 100? Ha, don’t make me laugh. Of course, he had 100. Fucking guy is playing against a bunch of 6-4 white dudes who used get their ankles broken by simple hesitation moves. A good high school player in today’s game would have averaged 35 a game in Wilts NBA. Honestly its probably closer to 50 but I know all the old timers would freak if I went that high.
Kobe though, just showing he still has that killer instinct. I honestly would believe if there was no script to this commercial. Like that just seems like something Kobe would totally do and say. It seemed so natural. even Jalen’s part. I thin that’s the best part of this commercial. It feels like an actual conversation that would happen. Kobe per usual, just being a savage. Â Sorry Jalen, it doesn’t look like anyone is going to forget that you gave up 81 points anytime soon.
