Tim Tebow went out with a bang in what was most likely his last major league game of the year. Tebow went 2 for 3 for the Mets in the Grapefruit League and made an athletic leaping catch in the outfield. Let’s take a look at the film.
Timmmmyyyy. That a boy. His first hit wasn’t amazing contact, but hey he got a hit and went the other way. He seems to have a knack for going the other way naturally, which is rare for a lefty. His second hit was a ROPE ripped up the middle, great contact. But still, Tebow is only hitting .214 in the Grapefruit League with a .267 OBP. His glove, on the other hand, looks like a strength, that was a great leaping catch he made there, on a windy day too. He showed athleticism and some baseball instincts there, not an easy play, especially with the wind. This is his second diving catch in the outfield he’s made, although he doesn’t have a strong arm, it looks like the man can field.
We don’t know for sure if this will be his last major league game, they said last Friday would be and here he is. All we can do is sit back and enjoy the man chase his dreams. The minors regular season starts tomorrow so either way, this won’t be the end of Tebow. We look forward to keeping tabs on his progress and hopefully see him progress and move up in the minors. Regardless if he fails or succeeds he’s a great reminder to us all to never stop chasing your dreams. Keep it up Timmy we’re all rooting for ya.
