Soccer star Alex Morgan and multiple Orlando City SC players were kicked out of Disney World over the weekend, TMZ reports.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office reportedly told a group, including Morgan, to leave Disney after an incident at a bar in Epcot on Sunday. Morgan, Orlando City players Donny Toia and Giles Barnes were among six people listed in the Sheriff Office’s incident report, according to the Orlando Sentinel. The group, including Toia’s wife, was given a trespass warning, with the two others listed as witnesses. No charges were filed.
According to the report, deputies were called to respond to “impaired and verbally aggressive” individuals.Barnes reportedly cut in front of someone at the bar, leading to an argument. As he was being escorted out, deputies went back inside to assist with the others. “I observed a white female, who was later identified as Alexandria Morgan yelling, screaming and taken (sic) video and possibly pictures,” a deputy wrote in the report. “She appeared to be highly impaired.” The report later said a deputy heard Morgan loudly say that she knows the Orlando SWAT team.
“The Orlando City SC organization is aware of a situation that occurred at Walt Disney World’s Epcot theme park earlier this week and is awaiting official communication from Disney or the Orange County Police Department,” read a statement the club gave to The Orlando Sentinel. “The club will address the matter internally when there is a full understanding of what occurred.” – H/T Sports Illustrated
The U.S Women’s soccer team knows how to party. Half that team has been arrested or tied to a drunken related incident. And I gotta say, I love it. Going out and getting wasted and causing a ruckus is no longer boys being boys. No longer reserved for their male counterparts. These girls are changing the game and letting the world (they were literally drinking around the world at Epcot) know they are here to get down.
Alex Morgan is one of the best if not the best, and most definitely the hottest member of the US Women’s team. And probably her Orlando pro soccer team too (full disclosure have no idea what the name of the league is). Adding this to her resume does major work for her street cred.
Now as for Disney themselves, these girls were drunk at Epcot. There is literally only one reason to go to Epcot and that is to get belligerently wasted. There is nothing else of use there for an adult outside of the around the world tour of drinking. Which is what Alex Morgan and the gals were doing. Disney asks for this and has no right to be ruining the party of an American hero. As far as I’m concerned Alex Morgan was doing exactly what she came and supposed to do. Also, someone is going to have to explain to me how they managed to muster up a trespassing charge after purchasing a ticket which provides you legal entry into the park? Drunk in public, that’s one thing, saying that’s trespassing though? You’re either stupid, lying or both.
