Will Tim Tebow Break Michael Jordan’s Home run Record?

Tim Tebow hit a 3-run moon shot Sunday night, the second of his short minor league career. This begs the question will he surpass Michael Jordan’s total when he played in the minors? How many did Jordan have? Three, yup. Almost can’t believe the greatest basketball player ever only has three in 127 games too.

Oh, Michael. Not many even know the truth about MJ’s reasoning for playing baseball. Most think it was to pay homage for his dad, which I’m not saying is entirely false. But the real reason is Jordan bet on the game and instead of being suspended, him and David Stern had a secret agreement to save both their legacies. Jordan’s image would have be tainted and Stern would be that asshole who ruined it for all of us. Why else would the best player ever retire in his prime?

So it’s obvious that Tebow will surpass him as he has 2 in just the first few games. But I need to ask the question why all the hate for Tebow and not MJ? I guess look at Tebow and say wow he just trying to be perfect and do everything. The religious savior. Now I am a huge Tebow fan, but maybe he’s just a truly good dude who wants to help people and follows his passion. So much backlash from people for pursuing his dream and all he’s ever been is the nicest most polite person.

Then we have Jordan on the other hand who to a reasonable person’s logic bet on the sport was caught, and shown the door nicely. Jordan lost a lot of money and even had some court appearances in the early 90’s but seriously why else would he retire??? It’s not fucking brain surgery. Imagine if LeBron James just called it quits after beating the Warriors last year. The world would fucking flip upside down. Right would be left, left would be right, and Donald Trump would be president. Shit, he is president, right? Double shit. Point is, in today’s society with social media, PC, and our ability to know everything this shit wouldn’t fly. We would get to the bottom of it, hands down. He wouldn’t just retire and say oh I’m gonna become a professional badminton player now.

Jordan was a gambler, we all know this and he got around with the ladies. Now I’m not saying either of these two are wrong at all but far from your crystal clear image. Was he given the benefit of the doubt because he was the best player ever? I’m sure. But it also has to do with his lack of perfection of the court. As I just said he gambled and definitely had his fun with the ladies. Well shit, I like to gamble and get with women. Who doesn’t? Doesn’t mean you’re a shitty person just that you’re human. That’s the key. Jordan is very human and relatable, therefore likable to the public eye.

As opposed to Tim Tebow who is the second coming of Jesus Christ and is still a fucking virgin. He comes off as such a perfect human being he is almost God-like. Not everybody likes people who appear immortal, like Tim, they are seen as a threat. Yes, Tim Tebow is a threat to many which may sound crazy but true. He’s just going to go around being perfect helping kids and inmates, wining Heisman’ and national championships, hoping from sport to sport and have success like that? I’m sure tons of college baseball players are like who the fuck does this guy think he is. I’ve played my whole life and won’t make it past AA. This messiah puts the lumber down for a decade and is all of a sudden bombing them?? Now you can see why people have some disdain to him.

Do I? Of course not. Tim is the man.  I’ve read his book “Shaken and you can tell he’s far from perfect. He’s human like you and me he has his highs and his lows. He has trouble getting back up when life kicks you to the curb. He has had heartbreaks like all of us, many most don’t even know about. But we don’t see that in Tim because we are shallow and judgmental as people. If you’ve noticed I even call him Tim as that’s what he’s referred to in the book, Tim the human being. Not TEBOW the god-like legend who is untouchable and does everything right. If you ask me I think we should all be rooting for the guy and more importantly, we should all do whatever the fuck we wanna do. That’s something we can all take from him whether he succeeds or fails its the journey and the pursuance of that passion. As corny as it sounds he’s right, and the story continues…
